Our Learning Environment

Jilly Beans large spacious centre was purposely built to encourage curiosity and exploration and consists of three rooms dedicated to children's activities and a separate art room.  The classrooms all have large windows that fill the room with natural light and provide the children with a continuous connection to the outdoors.  The rooms are arranged into many different learning areas for children to engage in meaningful activities.  These areas include the house corner, block corner, reading corner, a science area, a manipulative area, and a puzzle and games area to help with numerics and literacy skills.  We provide a comfortable and happy environment where children learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.  We view our environment as an additional teacher that evokes the children’s curiosity and sense of wonder.  Educators guide children’s learning by providing them with meaningful experiences that help them build on what they already know.
